流感不同于普通感冒，是由每年都在变异的最新型流感病毒感染而发作，症状也比普通感冒严重很多，会全身酸痛、咳嗽、流涕、发烧等，甚至可以直接导致死亡，因此接种流感疫苗成为预防流行病爆发的必要手段。
世界卫生组织（WHO）每年都会预测南北半球候选流感病毒，作为各疫苗企业生产疫苗的风向标。2月23日，WHO正式发布2024-2025北半球季节性流感疫苗推荐组分，以便各国和疫苗厂商研发生产流感疫苗。
三价流感疫苗毒株组分
Egg-based vaccines
• an A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
• an A/Thailand/8/2022 (H3N2)-like virus; and
• a B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus.
Cell culture- or recombinant-based vaccines
• an A/Wisconsin/67/2022 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
• an A/Massachusetts/18/2022 (H3N2)-like virus; and
• a B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus.
四价流感疫苗毒株组分
For quadrivalent egg- or cell culture-based or recombinant vaccines for use in the 2024-2025 northern hemisphere influenza season, the WHO recommends inclusion of the following as the B/Yamagata lineage component:
• a B/Phuket/3073/2013 (B/Yamagata lineage)-like virus.
